Getting started

How do I set up my first AI agent?

After signing up, a default agent is created automatically. Open it from 'AI Agents', edit the system prompt to describe your business (services, hours, prices, rules), and save. Your dedicated phone number is assigned by our team and appears in your dashboard automatically: no action needed.

How long does setup take?

About 2-5 minutes from signup. Configuring your agent is the main step: your phone number is assigned by our team and appears in your dashboard automatically.

Is the phone number included in my plan?

Yes. Every paid plan comes with a dedicated phone number. You don't need to bring or set up any external phone: we assign your number and it appears in your dashboard once it's ready.

Can I keep my existing business number?

Yes. Keep the number your customers already call and forward calls to your Recepta number. We recommend 'missed-call only' forwarding: your own phone rings first, and the AI only answers when you're busy, away, or don't pick up. We never take over or port your number. Open Dashboard → Phone Numbers and choose 'Keep my own number': you'll get step-by-step instructions to set forwarding up, check it's working, and turn it off. You can switch between a new number and forwarding anytime.

Calls & quality

Why does the AI go silent on some calls?

Almost always a network or VoIP audio issue on the caller side. Real cell phones and landlines work reliably. Free web dialers can have audio routing problems that prevent the AI from hearing the caller. If a paying customer reports this, ask them to call from a different phone.

Can the AI speak my customers' language?

Yes. The AI adapts to the language your callers speak, controlled by what you put in the system prompt.

Are calls recorded?

We store full transcripts and AI summaries: not raw audio. Check call-recording laws in your region before deploying: some regions require notifying callers that the call is handled by AI.

Billing & plans

How does pricing work?

Two plans: Standard ($149/month, 200 AI minutes) and Growth ($299/month, 400 AI minutes plus multi-language AI, website auto-training, and custom webhooks). Both include a phone number, and annual billing saves 10%. Every new account starts with a free 3-day trial that includes 10 AI minutes: no charge until you subscribe.

How do I cancel?

From the Billing page in your dashboard, click 'Open billing portal' to manage your subscription. You can cancel anytime. Your service stays active until the end of the current period.

Do you offer refunds?

All sales are final. Subscription fees and per-minute call charges are non-refundable. You can cancel anytime to stop future billing. Refunds are only issued for duplicate billing errors or extended service outages. See refund policy for full details.

Privacy & security

Who can see my call transcripts?

Only you. We never sell your data or train AI models on your conversations. Our infrastructure providers process the call solely to deliver the service, under strict data-processing agreements.

How do I delete my data?

Email privacy@hirecepta.com from your account email. We'll delete your account and all associated data within 7 days, except records we're required to keep for tax/billing purposes.

Is Recepta GDPR-compliant?

Yes. We collect minimum data, store it securely, allow deletion/export on request, and use compliant subprocessors.
